Church World Service

We recently partnered with Church World Service to provide bikes and accessories to refugees that they can use to get to work, run errands, or make appointments as they get assimilated in our community. Welcome to Lancaster!

Modern Art & The Common Wheel Present: ArtBike!

The Common Wheel has partnered with Modern Art to help fill Lancaster with bikes that are works of art! By participating in this program, your business can be promoted in a creative, city-friendly way. The Common Wheel will provide a bike, and Modern Art, along with talented local art students, will work to recommission the bike as a mobile advertisement that can be parked in front of your business or ridden through the streets of Lancaster. Your business will also appear in publications and local media through Modern Art’s promotional packaging. For more information, click here.

Pedals for Progress

Pedals for Progress is a non-profit that provides bikes to impoverished communities overseas. These bikes become a means for progress and opportunity for people, allowing them to get to jobs, markets, customers, and schools. To date, Pedals for Progress has donated over 142,000 bikes to people in need. The Common Wheel is proud to donate excess bikes to Pedals for Progress throughout the year. Wheels to Work

Started by the Lancaster County Council of Churches, this program seeks to get low-wage individuals and families transportation to help get to work reliably. The Common Wheel has partnered with the Council of Churches to help Lancaster City residents find a bike, refurbish it, and gain independence and reliability in getting to work.
