The time has come for us to tear down some walls at the Lazy K Lounge! Starting on Tuesday, 12/5, we begin demolition in the former dive bar, remodeling it into a community bike center! To say we are excited is an understatement.
Join us in welcoming Steve Senenig, owner of Restoration Concept LLC who will be overseeing the demolition. Community volunteers and our multi-talented staff will be tearing down walls and pulling out old sinks, and floors, and what have you! For two weeks, we’ll be prepping the Lazy K for its makeover into The Common Wheel in Columbia.
Click here if you’d like to volunteer for demolition.
Please note:
Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and old clothes that are warm and you don’t mind getting dirty. We also suggest wearing a hat. TCW will supply you with masks, gloves, and goggles.
While we will have some tools for use, it would be extremely helpful if you could bring your own! These are the tools we anticipate needing for demolition:
- Crow Bar
- Sledge Hammer
- Sawzall
- Circular Saw
- Hammer
- Angled side cutter
Any youth joining us will need to be supervised by an adult. Everyone must sign a liability waiver and youth must have a liability waiver signed by a guardian.
