Community Programs Womxn on Wheels
Our Womxn on Wheels program empowers womxn and those who identify as womxn to become confident on a bike through social rides, classes, and bicycle maintenance training.
Beginner Mechanics Class
Join us at our King Street location on Sunday, May 12 and 19 from 2PM – 6PM for our women, trans, and femme beginner mechanic class. In this two-night class, you will learn all the major systems of a bicycle including tire repair, brake adjustment, drivetrain maintenance and bearing adjustment. Taught by Jeni Mattingly of Fairmount Bikes in Philadelphia. $150 registration fee includes materials and instruction for both nights.
Participation in these classes, training, and special events offers womxn in Lancaster the chance to learn the basics of bicycle maintenance, develop safe bicycle riding skills, connect with other womxn in the Lancaster bicycle community, and aid womxn in feeling more comfortable bicycling on the road.
