Community Programs Safe Spaces

Safe Spaces partners with the YWCA of Lancaster to empower BIPOC to live joyfully via bike
Safe Spaces is a collaboration between The Common Wheel and the YWCA of Lancaster to hold space for BIPOC folks to come together on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6-8 PM at our Queen Street Community Center & Shop. Guest facilitators will lead discussions centering on the BIPOC experience on bicycles. Folks will be welcome to gather, come work on their bikes, receive free guided repairs, and 15% off of new parts and accessories. On days with nice weather, we’ll go on a ride with a TCW ally. On days that aren’t as nice, we’ll create space for discussion and community building.
The Common Wheel will close its doors to the general public during this monthly event.
